Some Cute Things I Got for Christmas/New Years Haul

     So these weren't really my Christmas gifts or anything, just some nick knacks that I received from my friends (and I got some of these myself). Sorry about the crap quality picture, but I wanted to post something today. (:

Double Feature!! VaLOG and BLOGHAUL....

     So the video's basically everything that I explained in the previous quick update, so you guys really don't have to watch it. UNLESS, you want to see my face, which you haven't for a while. I also talk a tiny bit about other stuff...
Also, omfg. MOST CONSTIPATED THUMB NAIL FOR THE VIDEO EVAR.





So other than this VaLOG (am I creative or what?) I have a BLOG HAUL, not a VIDEO HAUL, but a BLOG haul...I'm really creative. Here's what I got during the Sephora VIB Sale, and I kinda explain why I got them.

 From left to right and clock-wise: Kate Somerville .5 floz Intensive ExfoliKate, Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads, NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Fiji, Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat in 8, Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation in Medium Ivory

1. Kate Somerville .5 floz Intensive ExfoliKate: So l was looking at this on the site, and I realized that the .5 floz is actually a better deal compared to the 2 floz. Cause if I had 4 of the .5(which would make 2 floz), it would be $76. But the regular 2 floz goes for $85. So I don't know the reason behind this, but yeah. Either ways, only the .5 floz was available when I ordered... The 5 floz is still a good deal though. (: Aside from that, the reason why I bought the product itself is because it's suppose to help with discoloration (my big problemo) and plus everyone says this is amazing so I assume that is the truth. (:

2.  Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads: I say in the video above that my skin has just be in horrific conditions, breakouts and clogged pores and all. Once again, this is a well liked product although it is very harsh. It's supposed to clear acne+blackheads, minimize pores, and cleanse skin. Since it also "regulates healthy cell turnover" maybe it'll also help with discoloration. We'll see; I'll get back to you guys on it. 

3. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Fiji: I've had a couple of samples of this foundations, and so far it's proven to be one of my favorites. I've always gotten Deauville, but for the last sample I got, I chose Fiji. It's more yellow and I think it matches my neck much more. Anywho, I was like what the hey. Beautiful foundation. I definitely recommend it. (I really hope that it is this breaking my skin out... It shouldn't be since I've tried this before.)

4. Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat in 8: I had a sample of this a while back and it was really nice. Either ways I've been on a YSL kick. Plus, look at me in the video! I need all the under eye brightening I can get...

5. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation in Medium Ivory: Along with the increased amount of acne came the increased need to cover that acne. I tried this foundation, and it has amazing coverage while staying away from being heavy and cakey. Very nice. It's also been raved about recently.

I'm so on trend! But as you can see all this products are either skin care of base face makeup. I just realize that I haven't purchased that kind of stuff in a very long time. So I decided to not buy another blush, eyeshadow, or mascara. Makeup and beauty always begins with nice skin and a perfect base, so that's what I invested in this time.

Video? Collective Haul July 7, 2011

     Hehheh, I did a video. Previously I explained that I would be doing a video (if I could figure it out, which I did, hence this post) on my collective haul. The time frame that I purchased these items is very long; I think about 3 or 4 months. Also, I say in the video that the money spent on these products may be very, very high, but I actually only spent $50 in all. The reason is that my numerous relatives have given me a huge amount of gift cards. The Sephora lady and the MAC lady were not very happy with me... Anyways, I'll leave the video embedded below, I'm sorry that the quality is not good, but a blog post would have had way too many pictures (can't do that). Polish and Ring Haul ft. China Glaze, ORLY, OPI, Ambiance

     Usually when I purchase nail polish, I finish trying all previous polishes that I haven't tried before. But this month, there were just so many that I had to pick up. Today, I went to Pure Beauty, and Sally's to get some stuff. I also picked up a ring in Ambiance.

Yup, another Haul: Lancome Lipgloss and Lipsticks

     Yes, I have another haul...but I really suck at thinking up things to do. Leave me suggestions please! Don't worry, the post after this is a swatch+review post. (: I just want to show you what I got so you may try and predict what will be in my next posts, or if you want something, you can ask me right away. So, I really like shopping from Lancome, although I never get anything because of the price. They provide a great amount of samples that are a pretty good size. For example, in this order, I got a whole lipstick, although the packaging was really bad, but whatever, a whole lipstick! Here's what I got:

     

     So in the order there were samples of Lancome Bright Expert, High Resolution Cream, Genefique Serum, Le Crayon Khol in Black Brown, Juicy Tube in Moulin Rose, and Color Design Lipstick in Wannabe (the black tube with no box). The only things I purchased were Color Fever Gloss in Paradise Peach from the summer collection, and Stylista and Corset Color Design Matte Lipsticks. 

     I've already slightly experimented with everything, and let me tell you, the Matte lipsticks are from another world. OMG amazing. Well, I'll save it for a review and after I've tested wear and all that. (:

     I know I've been hauling way to much, but it's retail therapy! I'll be shopping more especially since it's summer time, but is it really a crime? Neeeoooooo.

Nail Polish Haul! ft. Zoya, Essie, Sally Hansen

     SCHOOL IS OUT FOR ME! I've waited for this day since i started school, haha. And sophomore year has been hard, but oh no, JUNIOR YEAR IS GOING TO BE HARDER... Better have a good summertime right? I got some nail polishes off some site called enailsupply.com and they have like a couple brands so that's why there are multiple nail polish companies in this haul. I was a bit displeased with the service since I ordered 6 polishes, but they only shipped me five and on the paper slip thing they told me that the last was back ordered and so they cancelled it. So I would have preferred they sent me an email. They also returned money to my card only after I  complained. But other than that. They have so many previous collections at normal prices, so I was super happy.

MAC Quite Cute and Other Haul

     Like most people who can't resist cute things, I just had to pick up some stuff from MAC's Quite Cute Collection. I also picked up an extra something...

     So obviously I got the blush because it has the heart in the center, and honestly, I think I'm going to have to go pick up Miss Behave (even though people say it doesn't have much pigmentation). I'm thinking of also getting Candy Yum Yum since I don't have any shades like it. I got Russian Red because I've been wanting to try it, but I was stuck on which red to get. And I got the two lip liners because it's harder to come by nudey lip liners that are good. (:

     I won't be swatching these until I pick up Candy Yum Yum and Miss Behave, which will be soon.

Fix Haul + Others

     So my last post was about how I had hauled some NARS items from Sephora, to only find out that two of the items had be opened and used. Of course, the next day I had to return to Sephora to get the problem fixed. The Sephora I visited was pretty rude to me when I returned the stuff, sadsad. Basically, the worker looked at me as if I were the hugest problem ever, I really don't like her. Anyways, I returned three items, 2 NARS eyeshadow duo's in Kalahari and Cordura, and the Benefit Boi-ing Concealer (not part of the before haul, I was sincerely disappointed in the product). I re-bought the two eyeshadow duos and added more to my purchases that day.

Sephora and MAC Haul

     I haven't gone shopping in like 2 months...more like 1. But I finally, decided to splurge because of Chinese New Years. Wootwoot. Yay, for red envelopes. Yes, I am on my modified project 10 pan, but hey...my version is modified... Ok, more like I caved in.

Zoya Haul and Don't Bite Your Nails: Zoya Valerie + Swatch

     A couple weeks ago, Zoya, nail polish manufacturer, had a really weird but cool deal thing because they reached 20,000 likes on facebook. Yay to facebook because Zoya had a deal where you could get three of their nail polishes and all you had to pay was shipping. I took advantage of this and made two separate orders and in total only pain like 12-14 $$$. It's an amazing price because normally Zoya nail polish is 7$ for one nail polish. I've never tried Zoya polishes, so this was the perfect time to do so.

      Now here's my nail polish application:

I used...

 L'Occitaine Shea Butter Hand Cream

OPI Start to Finish Top Coat

Zoya Nail Laquer in Valerie

Start with clean bare nails, I have just polished them with a nail buffer.

Apply your hand cream to avoid the drying of your hands.

Apply your base coat to prevent your nail color from staining your nails.

Apply 2 coats of your nail color, then finish off with your top coat. 

     Although I still can not give a formal review of Zoya nail polishes, I can say that the nail polish in Valerie has a great texture that allowed for very easy application. Valerie is a beautiful dark plumy purple with hot pink shimmer/glitters. In the bottle it seems to have some orange shimmers/glitters, but so far, I do not see that being the case on the nails.

     I often change my nail color every week, so if I have the time,I will put up picture of the next Zoya polishes I will try. If I am satisfied with Zoya polishes, I will probably continue purchasing. I am also in search for a nail treatment, and I am looking into Essie's Matte Top Coat for a matte finish to my nails!
