Spring/Summer Trend: Color Blocking

     Unfortunately my camera has failed me again... actually I failed my camera and misplaced my SD card... So this is kind of a "I'm sorry I can't take pictures. I'll make it up with other stuff" post. I wanted to talk about my favorite Spring and Summer fashion trend this year: color blocking! 

     If you can't tell from the pictures, color blocking is just where you wear bright colors that compliment or contrast each other. Keep in mind, the pieces are very simple, at least that't the way I would wear it. I feel like the trend is just so new a fresh and clean and it really catches my eye. Looking at the bright colors is just like knowing that summer is coming. And don't these woman just look fierce pulling off the bright colors? OMG, time for me to go shopping.


     So, sorry for the short and sweet post, I just wanted to share what I've been loving this Spring.

Bright Lipstick: Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Fuchsia Swatch! and Sephora Wishlist

     As Spring pushes in at full force (I'm on spring break!), I've been really going out of my norm, and loving really simple a clean makeup with a pop of color. So I've been popping on a bit of a brighter blush color or a nice bright lip. Maybe I'll show you guys some of my brighter cheeks later on, but for now. Here's another bright lip, this is Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Fuchsia.

     OMG, my lashes are so naked. I was giving them a break today cause I figured you wouldn't really see them with the thick liner... I really look like a mono-lid with this liner huh? Anyways, the Revlon Fuchsia Colorburst Lipstick is a blue based bright hot pink color. The pictures seem a bit more warm toned than they actually are, because the lipstick is much more bright and blue toned that the pictures show it to be. It always takes me a couple tries before I start liking a bright lipstick on myself. I'm still getting used to this one. 


     Oh and, if you don't know from all the big beauty bloggers and gurus, Sephora is having a V.I.B. and B.I. special event sort of thing. 15% from the 15th to the 21st. Personally, I have a bunch of things on my list such as...


1. Illamasqua Powder Blushes in Excite and Panic or MUFE Powder Blushes in Tangerine and Scarlet (the colors are both a red and an orange, so I'm going to have some sort of battle at Sephora deciding which ones I want.


2. MUFE Powder Blushes in Pearly Peach and Pearly Orange


3. MUFE Aqua Eyes 23L (champagne liner)


4. Stila Kitten Glitter Liner


5. fresh Lip Treatments


6. NARS Galapagos Single Eyeshadow

     OMG, there's more that I want... but I know I'm definitely going to get my orange and red blushes... haha.

FOTD: Flashy Smokes...

     Today for school, my friend and I decided we wanted to match makeup, which we want to do tomorrow as well. We decided on a brown smokey eye, this is wha I came up with... Sorry that I didn't take a closed eye picture...

On my face I used,

Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer in Medium (all blemishes, under eyes)

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Cream Light 4-5

On my cheeks I have on,

Benefit Hoola Box Powder Bronzer (to contour)

LORAC Baked Matte Satin Blush in Exposed (on cheekbones)

On my eyes I used, 

Urban Decay Primer Potion

Revlon Cream Shadows in Not Just Nudes (the darkest brown all over lid, champagne on center of lid)

Rock & Republic Eyeshadow in Sabotage (inner 2/3)

LORAC Take a Brow Kit in Dark Brown (used eyebrow powders as eyeshadow, mixed the two and used on outer V)

Maybelline Define a Line Eyeliner in Black Brown (both waterlines, and outer upper lash line)

Fairy Drops Scandalous Queen Mascara (upper and lower lashes)

On my lips I have,

MAC Lipstick in Myth

NARS Lip Gloss in Turkish Delight

     That's what I used... I did a pretty dramatic outer v and the angle was sharp so it sorta of gave me a cat eye affect. It was the first time I wore such a dramatic eye to school, and many people complimented me. Hehheh...I'm happy. Anywho...I leave you with a picture of my lovely darling when she just wakes up.
