No More Painful Popped Pimple! ft. ZAPZYT/ Review

Only recently have I had a cystic pimple, which in my case hurts and bothers me all day. I was glad that the pimple was hidden behind my bangs but regardless of that I was bothered the whole day. My quick fix for a painful pimple is ZAPZYT!

ZAPZYT is a cream/gel, I don't know, formula. It contains (like the packaging says) 10%  benzoyl peroxide which is a common acne fighter, the other being salcylic acid. The directions say to apply this gel on any blemish to make it disappear. It says it decreases the size of pores and prevents blackheads, oh, and decreases oiliness. My take?

I tried applying the gel where I was oil (T-Zone), and I haven't seen any results for decreases oiliness. I tried apply this on blackheads and I haven't seen too much difference, however this does I feel slightly prevent blackheads. I tried applying this on my large pores and I don't see any difference. I did however see a large difference when I applied this to a cystic pimple or a popped pimple. Although the results are not drastic, when I applied this gel to a cystic pimple the pimple slowly decreased in size over a matter of 2-3 days. Usually my cystic pimples can last on my face for up to 2 weeks! When I applied this to a popped pimple that was slightly inflamed (I was in pain!), the pain went away over night and the inflammation decreased.

Overall, ZAPZYT is a HG skincare product for me, I find it necessary in acne prevention. The bad thing is that it only works for some symptoms and your skin becomes slightly reliant of it. For me, if I stop using my benzoyl peroxide, I start to get tiny breakouts in only a couple of days. I do stop using BP when my skin seems to be getting used to it. When that happens I wait a week or so and if I see any breakouts I will start using the product once again. I also make sure that I have an extra good moisturizer in my skin care routine, because benzoyl peroxide can really dry out your skin. I've heard that BP can bleach your clothes, but that has never happened to me so I can't say anything.

Note: 10% BP is a lot, but my skin isn't too sensitive, so I am a-okay with it.

That's my review/tips for using BP. Thanks for reading. (:

I Am Very Guilty

So ladidah. I just spend twenty minutes watch youtube videos on Project 10 Pan. If you don't know what it is, it's a project where a person chooses 10 products to complete use up before buying any new beauty products. ANY. Of course, I was thinking of doing it but then I realized all my products are virtually new! I love makeup and I wear it whenever I can, but I never have time. First of all, I don't have time in the morning to make my face pretty so that means I really only wear makeup during the weekends. Second, I seriously have a foundation addiction. I'm thinking about getting NARS Sheer Glow and Lancome Teint Miracle. OMG I need to stop myself. Third of all, whenever I breakout which is every once in awhile (right now I have some blackhead/clogged pores on my cheeks and it's never happened before and I'm freaking out), I stop using any face products at all. One good thing is, I've gotten into the habit of always putting on mascara and eyeliner because I really see the difference those two things can make.

So I'm going to change the project a little and first just use up three products. Hahaha...I'm so bad at self control. I'm going to finish my Maybelline The Volum' Express Mascara. I have the hydrofuge version or something, and I'm going to review it. (: Next I'm going to finish my Maybelline Define-A-Line brown eyeliner. I still have a lot, but I need to do it. Last, I'm going to use up my Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer. I think it's funny that all the products are Maybelline...Not intentional.

I've also decided that I'm going to start to use some products more regularly like the mascara and eyeliner. I'm going to use a L'Oreal Quad I bought because I have not touched that at all. I'm thinking I'm going to make it like my everyday palette and promise myself to use it everyday. I really like the colors, I just never use it since I don't usually have time to apply any eye shadows on a school day.

So that's my plan. I promise myself to this. I probably will buy stuff. But I will religiously use those products as much as possible until they're gone. (: Look forward to always seeing those products in my FOTD's.

Thanks for reading, I'm going to continue doing homework now.

Review: ZENO Hot Spot, heat away pimples?

Harrow, :3. Ok, yeah. Haha. So, this is a review for the ZENO Hot Spot.
What it is is a "blemish clearing device". It claims that 90% of the time blemishes will be cleared away after 24 hours after using the ZENO Hot Spot. It's suppose to eliminate the bacteria that causes blemishes. The device is not meant for blackheads, whiteheads, or cystic acne; it's meant for regular pimples (what's regular?). There's a limited amount of times you can use the device and it sells for 34.49 on amazon.com. I think I got mine when it was 30 dollars tops, also on amazon. Here is a picture:

What you do is you press the little box thing, the ZENO will make some noise and light up. Then you place the metal tip on your pimple. It may feel hot, so use it at your own risk!

What do I think? Well I was hesitant to get this product since most of my acne is whiteheads, blackheads, and cystic acne. But my dad got it for me, and the first couple times I tried it, I was like this is one of those stupid products that don't work, what a waste of 30$$!

But just about 2 months ago, I started using it, because I had nothing to do...This is what boredom does to people. Anyways, I used it on a cystic pimple, even those it says that it won't work. BUT WHAT A LIE. My cystic pimple decreases in size and didn't hurt as much as it did. So now I use it whenever I feel like I'm going to get a cystic pimple. The product really does not work on whiteheads and blackheads. However, after using this, the skin where my pimple had been did darken, I think it may be because of the use of heat. After some ex foliation and some brightening products, the dark spot did disappear.

So overall, I think this product is okay. Not amazing, but it did have some effect. Oh, it comes in blue and pink! This product will not work for extreme acne, only for the occasional pimple. If you don't want dark spots, be careful because this device may cause that. I'm not disappointed, but I'm not amazed. That's all I have to say, thank you for reading!
