Passion for Peach: NARS Sex Appeal Powder Blush Swatches and Review

I love peach, it brightens my complexion and gives me a girly glow, I feel so much more alive wearing it. I wear neutral eyes so much, like most girls, and I find that peach blushes and lipsticks look gorgeous paired with a brown eye. Anywho, this series will provide swatches and reviews (or quick reviews) on peach colored (or with a hint of peach) products I adore.

It's been one week everyone! Long time no see, I spent today writing some essays and reading some books, just how I live my life now. But surprisingly, in the midst of my busy school life, I've committed myself to using my makeup, and I've done a full face of makeup everyday! (It's a full face, but not heavy.) So today, I'm going to write a blog pot as my break time. (: NARS Sex Appeal, anyone?

NARS Sex Appeal is described as a light soft matte peach. Swatched, I definitely think the color description fits, but on my light medium skin tone, the color shows much more peachy and dark than in the pan. Although this is the case, I definitely do not recommend this blush for people darker than me because Sex Appeal may turn out ashy.
My NARS blushes have no disappointed my at all (only thing is, Orgasm isn't like wtfthisisamazing to me). And Sex Appeal fulfills all the criteria I want to see in a good blush, especially when it is so expensive. The texture of this blush is smooth but not powdery, so I don't see excessive fallout from the pan.
I swear that this blush like... color adjusts. From the finger swatches, you can see one swatch is lighter and one is darker, and I swear it's because the blush reacts with the oils of your skin or something. This results in the blush looking darker on my skin than in the pan. Last thing... this blush lasts well on my skin.

FOTD: Too much homework, so I must camera-whore.

This week was my first week of school and I can already say that I won't have much time this year. Junior year means SATs, excessive amounts of homework, and also college pressure. I really wish I could forget all of my outside of school stresses because I feel like I could definitely handle all my school work at still get 8 hours of sleep. But since I can't just forget about my friends (oh, I have volleyball), I'll try harder... Haha. So please excuse me if you don't see a post from me for long periods of time. I'm spending my Labor Day weekend doing homework. All I have to do now is Political Economy and US History, which will take the rest of this day and maybe more. But yay, FOTD.

    On my face I used...
Korres Anti-Aging Quercetain & Oak Primer
Skindinavia No More Shine Makeup Setting Spray
Cover Girl NatureLuxe Foundation in 325 Sandstone
Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer in Medium
Make Up Forever HD Powder

     On my cheeks I used...
MAC Refined Golden Bronzer (OMG NOT BENEFIT HOOLA)
Illamasqua Tremble Powder Blusher

     On my eyes I used...
Urban Decay Original Primer Potion
Hourglass Gypsy Eyeshadow Duo
MAC Carbonized Eyeshadow
Rock & Republic Veil Eyeshadow
MAC Superslick Liquid Liner in Smoky Heir
Urban Decay 24/7 Zero Liner
Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof Mascara

On my lips I am wearing...
MAC Peachstock Lipstick (Love it)

And a little more camera-whoring...

Video: (Two in a ROW?) Muh Favs: August 2011

I have school starting tomorrow, and boy, I'm so unexcited. It's going to be my junior year, and it's suppose to be the hardest year of high school, what with SAT's and all. You know, nothing big... I wanted to post my August favorites before I got too busy, so here it is in video form. (: (I actually had this posted yesterday...)

1. Korress Quercetin & Oak Anti-aging Primer: It's silicone free, and really nice for moisturizing my dry areas. I also find that extends the wear of my foundations well.
2. Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer in Medium: You barely need any to cover all the blemishes and under eye bags you have on your face. It has really nice coverage with out getting cakey.
3. MAC Face and Body Foundation in N2: It's a good foundation for sports because it is pretty water resistant. However, it has a very light coverage that only serves the purpose of evening out my skintone, not good for those who want to cover a lot of stuff.
4. Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof Mascara: Really good for slightly more black and dramatic lashes. (Review and swatches found here: http://valeriestlbm.blogspot.com/2011/06/compare-maybelline-falsies-and-one-by.html)
5. Rock & Republic Eyeshadow in Sabotage: Gorgeous mid-tone taupey brown, which I find works well for a transitional color between my lid and outer v colors. (Swatch and review here: http://valeriestlbm.blogspot.com/2011/05/rock-eyeshadow-swatches-and-review-d.html)
6. Tarte Natural Lip Stain in Joy: It's a stain that leaves a slight sheen and does not require lip balm. The color is perfect for the summertime.
7. Sigma Duo Fibre Powder/ Blush Brush F15: I like it for powder because it can get into smaller areas. Because it is duo fibre, it picks up less powder resulting in a less cakey look.
8. Sigma Large Powder Brush F20: Good for a quick setting of powder, not so dense that it moves your foundation and concealer.
9. MAC 239: Perfect sized eye shader brush for my lids, and it's not scratchy, but still very dense.
10. And lastly, my favorite food of this month has been the...NECTARINE. I just love it especially when there is warm weather, because the fruit is so refreshing. DELICIOUS. (:
