Passion for Peach: MAC Peaches Blush Swatches and Quick Review

I love peach, it brightens my complexion and gives me a girly glow, I feel so much more alive wearing it. I wear neutral eyes so much, like most girls, and I find that peach blushes and lipsticks look gorgeous paired with a brown eye. Anywho, this series will provide
swatches and reviews (or quick reviews) on peach colored (or with a hint of peach) products I adore.

Surprisingly, I did not purchase MAC Peaches Blush until recently, despite the fact that I love my peach cheek colors so much. I have another MAC blush and frankly, I was not impressed with that blush, resulting in me not wanting to buy more MAC blushes. Of course, it was just staring at me when I visited my MAC counter and I was like, what the hey.

Wearing MAC Peaches

MAC Peaches Blush is a true matte peach. On my skin, it shows a bit more orange. Being a Sheertone Blush, Peaches can be used ultra sheer or when built up, it can be very opaque.  This can be a good thing, but in my opinion, it's quite hard to build this blush up. To get the color you see on my cheeks above, I had to apply the blush 3 times. Another weird thing is, after a certain amount of applications, the blush all of a sudden becomes quite opaque to the point where it looks like you applied too much. I don't know why that happens.
The texture of the blush is unlike the texture of  matte NARS or Illamasqua blushes, which are quite soft, buttery, and smooth. Once again, this can be a good or bad thing. I believe that the hardness of the blush lends to the fact that although this blush is matte, it never looks cakey or powdery on my skin, whereas my other blushes can be seen on my skin. The downside is, like before, you must apply the blush quite a few times.
Overall, I think someone who is not so experience with makeup could use this well, since this is a buildable blush. I like the blush, but there are blushes I prefer over Peaches.
