NARS Lipgloss Swatches and Review ft. Striptease, Turkish Delight, Sweet Dreams, Dolce Vita

I talked about reviewing these NARS lipglosses when I hauled them, and I'm finally reviewing them. As you will see in the pictures... I have two mini duos that were a free sample from NARS when I purchased from them way back when. I only have Striptease and Turkish Delight in the full size version. Here are swatches and pictures!

Sweet Dreams

Left to right: Dolce Vita, Sweet Dreams, Turkish Delight, Striptease

Starting of with some color descriptions and pigmentation. Dolce Vita is a opaque medium brick color with brown undertones; it's a really pretty fall and winter shade. Sweet Dreams is a semi-sheer baby pink with silver shimmers and sparkles. Turkish Delight is a semi-opaque milky pink nude; this looks good over a nude lipstick. Striptease is a semi-opaque beige nude; it will add shine to a nude lipstick or it can be used to tone down a bright lipstick.. You can build up and decrease the pigmentation of all these colors.

The texture of the glosses vary. Dolce Vita is the creamiest, it glides on well and the color distributes well on the lips. Sweet Dreams is a bit more tacky compared to the other glosses. Turkish Delight and Striptease are creamy and a bit more liquidy, because they are nudes they tend to settle into fine lines.

The wear and smell of the glosses... If I don't eat, I get about 3-5 hours of wear. If I do eat... well I tend to wipe off lip products before I eat. The glosses are not sticky at all, and they are really comfortable to wear. NARS lip glosses have a bad rep. for smelling like plastic. I do smell the plastic smell when I smell the applicator, but I don't smell it at all on my lips. And I'm a person who is super sensitive to smells. (I can smell my mascara at the end of the day and be unhappy about it) The smell isn't unpleasant enough for me to not use these glosses. I just don't find that to be such a big problem.

Overall, I really like NARS lip glosses. I usually don't wear glosses because they make my lips feel really heavy, but I love the colors of that glosses that I have and they are more comfortable for me to wear. The packaging is also very sleek although it tends to get dirty very easily (same as all other NARS packaging). Anyways I lurrrrvvvv them. Haha... I'm definitely going to look into the more pigmented/darker NARS glosses. The next two on my list to see are Scandal and Nana.

Hope this review and the swatches were helpful! Thanks for reading. Byebye. U:
